About this song
The song is one of the bigger hits from 100 gecs' debut album 1000 gecs. It was later included as a bonus track on the group's remix album 1000 gecs and the Tree of Clues. A live version was performed on Adult Swim's FishCenter Live and later reused for the 2020 Square Garden Music Festival.
What it's about
The song mixes lighter moments reflecting a relationship affected by changes in Laura Les's life with harder moments about attachment to drugs and fortune, used as unhealthy coping mechanisms. Its title refers to a cloud of weed smoke so potent it is deadly, with "db" standing for decibels and "loud" being slang for strong weed.
