Mood

About this song

24kGoldn brought in his friend iann dior for the track, and the two had worked together before, most notably on iann dior's "gone girl," which credits 24kGoldn as a co-writer. The song was teased on Instagram in May 2020, and a snippet was first released on the Zebra platform in June 2020 before the track was confirmed in July 2020. Its upbeat, poppy sound echoes iann dior's earlier song "Never is Enough" from his debut album Industry Plant.

What it's about

The two artists reflect on being stuck in a toxic relationship with a woman who is fickle, indecisive and often manipulative. The subject is heavy, but the music itself stays bright and upbeat.
