About this song
ABBA is credited with making what the text calls the world's first Europop disco hit with this song. It was inspired by George McCrae's 1974 disco hit "Rock Your Baby" and by the drums on Dr. John's 1972 album Dr. John's Gumbo. Originally titled "Boogaloo," it was brought by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson to Glen Studios in Stockholm, and it became ABBA's only US #1 single. It also charted high in many other countries and was ranked #174 on Rolling Stone's list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
