Walk This Way

About this song

Released in 1975 as the second single from the album Toys in the Attic, the song did not chart at first. It later reached #10 in early 1977 after a reissue, following the reissue success of "Dream On." The band took the idea for the lyrics from a line in the film Young Frankenstein that originally came from The Three Stooges. In 1986, producer Rick Rubin arranged a cover by Run DMC involving both Tyler and Perry, which became a surprise top 10 hit in the US and the UK and revived Aerosmith's career.

What it's about

The lyrics sound dirty on the surface, but the less obvious meaning is the stronger one. The title refers to fingers moving in a walking motion during a sexual encounter.
