About this song
"Rehab" was the leading single from Back to Black and is often credited with making Winehouse an international name. The song went on to win Grammy Awards for Song of the Year, Female Pop Vocal Performance and Record of the Year. Winehouse checked into a rehab centre in early 2008, shortly before the 50th Grammy Awards.
What it's about
The song is an upbeat but ironic tune in which Winehouse refuses to go to rehab for her drug and alcohol problem. Listeners questioned its message given her real-life struggles with addiction.
