Daisy

About this song

The song marks Ashnikko's third official single of 2020, and she performed it live on several occasions in late 2019 and early 2020. After its release, she ran a campaign with Beats Electronics and TikTok called #BeatsDaisyChallenge, which boosted the song's popularity on TikTok, with over 1.5 million posts using the sound and a peak at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 Bubbling Under chart.

What it's about

The song reimagines the daisy, a symbol of innocence and weakness in literature, as a flower that can survive harsh conditions and bloom in dark places. Ashnikko uses the image to show how she defies expectations, saying she blossoms in the moonlight even though some daisies close at night.
