About this song
"Look Alive" is the first collaboration between Memphis rapper BlocBoy JB and Drake. Drake's connection to Memphis comes through his father Dennis, a Memphis native. The song arrived after Drake's feature on Migos' "Walk It Talk It" and his two-track EP Scary Hours, during a busy stretch for his music in 2018.
What it's about
The song describes the crew ties of Drake and BlocBoy JB in Tennessee, who get money and look out for one another. It warns people on the outside to watch out before they get taken down.
