About this song
The song was originally titled "Taarna's Theme" and its lyrics come from the last story in the movie Heavy Metal. It was apparently not used in the film because it told the movie's 17-minute story in about five minutes. The soundtrack was officially released on CD in 1995, and an updated version of the movie came out in 1996.
What it's about
The lyrics follow Taarna, the warrior woman who rides a giant bird, and her story from the movie's final segment.
