About this song
"Exchange" is the second single from Bryson Tiller's 2015 debut album. Its instrumental samples K.P. & Envyi's 1997 hit "Swing My Way". The song charted for weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned a nomination for Best R&B Song at the 59th Grammy Awards. The official music video was directed by Rohan Blair-Mangat.
What it's about
The song is an ode to an ex, in which Bryson reflects on a past break-up and fantasizes about rekindling an old flame. Wordplay in the title, which echoes "ex's change", is reflected in the second verse.
