About this song
The song is the fourth track on Carolina Liar's first studio album, the 2008 LP Coming To Terms. According to vocalist Chad Wolf, it was written in about twenty minutes, and the vocals on the final recording were his first attempt, captured in a bedroom. The band reportedly tried several studios to improve on them but could not beat that take.
What it's about
The singer admits his shortcomings and feels lost and confused, regretting that he did not live better. He asks Jesus not to let go, and the repeated title line speaks to a wider longing for something more than money, possessions and fame.
