About this song
"How Long" is the second single from Charlie Puth's sophomore album, Voicenotes. Charlie teased the track on social media in the week before its release and posted a video of the voice note behind the track the night before it came out. In a Ryan Seacrest interview released the day after the song dropped, Charlie said the song works as a kind of part two to his previous single, "Attention." The song peaked at #21 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in the week of Feb. 2, 2018.
What it's about
The song finds Charlie apologizing to a girl for being unfaithful. Charlie has said the story picks up where "Attention" left off, though he left its interpretation open.
