About this song
New Flesh was originally released by Nick Rattigan under the pseudonym TELE/VISIONS, as the fifth song on the album Wild Heart. The song became well known through a Vine video by the internet personality Emma Grier, who went by GIBBERTON, and it was used in her final Vine, titled Flesh.
What it's about
The title most likely refers to the 1983 film Videodrome, in which a character calls for long live the new flesh. The song's lo-fi sound gives it a nostalgic and somber mood.
