About this song
"Purple Pills" was the first single from D12's debut album, Devil's Night. A clean radio version titled "Hills" was made because of the song's explicit drug and sexual references.
What it's about
The song playfully celebrates sampling every drug available on the street or in the medicine cabinet. It stands out from many rap songs of the time, which mostly focused on selling drugs or smoking weed.
