About this song
INTRO is the opening track of DaBaby's second album, KIRK. It was released as the first promotional single from the album, which is unusual because rappers rarely release intro tracks as solo songs.
What it's about
The song looks back on DaBaby's rise from a poor upbringing to mainstream fame and on how he changed along the way. It is dedicated to his late father and grandmother, who died during his come-up, and it departs from his usual subject matter with introspective, hard-hitting bars.
