Untitled (How Does It Feel)

About this song

The song was released as the final single from D'Angelo's sophomore album, Voodoo, and peaked at #25 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #2 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. In 2001 it won a Grammy for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance, and Rolling Stone ranked it #379 on its list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. Raphael Saadiq has said it was written during a session at Electric Lady Studios, where he played bass and guitar while D'Angelo played piano, and the title came from the tape running out before the ending was finished.
