About this song
The song was first premiered on Trippie Redd's Instagram in October 2017 with a caption featuring Diplo's production credit. Diplo later confirmed its full commercial release as part of his California EP, and the official music video came out in April 2018. Trippie Redd disapproved of a later mix that made the harmonizing vocals quieter, and the original version appeared on his album LIFE'S A TRIP.
What it's about
The song focuses on one of Trippie Redd's past relationships and the emotional toll it took on him. Its melancholy production and emo-styled lyrics draw comparisons to his hit "XO TOUR Llif3."
