Handlebars

About this song

"Handlebars" was released as the first single from Flobots' debut album, Fight with Tools, and became the group's biggest success, peaking at #3 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. It was originally recorded for their first EP, Flobots Present...Platypus, and was re-released on Fight with Tools two years later.

What it's about

The song is about the independence people have once they are free to choose their own paths. It also explores the power an individual can hold through simple acts, and two friends who take different directions in life, from an ordinary citizen to someone who could end the world.
