About this song
"My Sweet Lord" was the first single from George Harrison's first solo album, All Things Must Pass. It became a huge success, reaching number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and staying in the top 50 for four consecutive weeks. Harrison was later sued over its similarity to The Chiffons' "He's So Fine" and was found guilty of subconscious plagiarism, a verdict that led many artists to add credits to songs that borrowed or were inspired by other tunes. The song also appeared on the soundtrack of the film Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
