About this song
Frontman Dave Bayley described the song to BBC Radio 1 during its premiere on Future Sounds, saying it marks a shift toward more personal lyrics for the band. The song first debuted live at Glass Animals' comeback show at The Bullingdon in late 2019, and it was confirmed as a single from the upcoming album Dreamland before that album was announced.
What it's about
The song deals with unhealthy relationships that a person keeps returning to, even knowing they are bad for them. Bayley says it is about being addicted to the chaos of such a relationship.
