About this song
"First Aid" is the first release from Gus Dapperton's second full-length project and, in line with his previous releases, he produced it himself. Additional vocals by his sister and bandmate Amadelle appear around the halfway point.
What it's about
The song is a vulnerable, candid look at Dapperton's self-perception and state of mind, centred on his close relationship with his sister. Metaphors of emergency care and being wrapped up in bandages suggest how she helps and looks after him.
