Tipsy

About this song

The 2004 club hit reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, held off the top spot by Usher's summer hit "Yeah!", though it topped the Rap charts. It was J-Kwon's debut single, produced by the Trackboyz, and is considered a one-hit wonder. The song is known for its hook and its "grindability", and it was featured in several movies, including Breakin' All the Rules, White Chicks, and Soul Plane. In the music video, So So Def recording artists Daz Dillinger, Jermaine Dupri, Murphy Lee, and Da Brat make cameo appearances.

What it's about

J-Kwon has said the song, along with the rest of his album, was a way of bringing the hood to pop and pop to the hood.
