About this song
Don't Need You is a diss track by Jarren Benton and Hopsin. The song is tied to the feud between Benton and Damian Ritter, the owner of Funk Volume, after the label was terminated. It also sits within a wider beef that escalated when SwizZz, Dame's brother, responded to Hopsin on the track Automatic.
What it's about
The song expresses Benton's break with Ritter and shows him taking Hopsin's side, the other label owner. It is a rejection of his former label boss.
