About this song
The track features on Labrinth's album Electronic Earth and on Emeli Sandé's album Our Version of Events (Special Edition). It peaked at number one in the UK Singles Chart, becoming Labrinth's first solo number one and Sandé's second overall. Performing the song live on The X Factor helped boost its sales and led to that chart peak.
What it's about
Labrinth and Sandé each sing about letting down their defences. He is drawn to a woman he sees as out of his league and wants to break through her walls, while she sees the guy's indifference as a facade. Both want to see each other's darkest sides and strengthen their relationship.
