Lil Dicky, Snoop Dogg
"Professional Rapper" is the second track on Lil Dicky's debut album, also titled Professional Rapper. The song is framed as a job interview, with Snoop Dogg playing the interviewer. The album cover shows a resume, tying into the idea of Dicky moving from a copywriting and marketing career into rap.
Dicky, coming to rap from a non-traditional background, lays out his skills, goals and desires as a job candidate would, with the job being professional rapper. Snoop, as a veteran rapper who stands in for the hip-hop community, is skeptical, and Dicky is trying to win that community over.
