About this song
"Soul Food II" is the second installment in Logic's Soul Food series, following the first "Soul Food" on his October 2014 debut album, Under Pressure. In a Twitch livestream listening party for his album The Incredible True Story, Logic explained that this version is how the original "Soul Food" was supposed to sound, after he couldn't find the owner of the sample used the first time.
What it's about
The first half finds Logic reflecting on how he has grown as a person and an artist since the first "Soul Food." The second half follows the storyline of his second album, where protagonists Thomas and Kai quest for the planet Paradise.
