About this song
"Team" is the third single from Lorde's debut album. The music video grew out of a dream Lorde had about teenagers living in their own world, one with hierarchies and initiations.
What it's about
The song criticizes the glamour shown in "Royals" through a fantasy world. It is a bittersweet, dreamy track about belonging and the tests needed to be let in.
