About this song
The track is an autotuned remix by the Manchester DJs Duke & Jones, built from a rap Louis Theroux performed on the 2000 "Gangsta Rap" episode of Weird Weekends. Twenty-two years later, YouTube interviewer Amelia Dimoldenberg revisited that material on her web series Chicken Shop Date, and Duke & Jones autotuned that interview. The video went viral on TikTok and appeared in millions of clips there. Duke & Jones later remixed their own remix, bringing in Dimoldenberg and R&B singer Jason Derulo to flesh out the track.
