Meat Grinder

About this song

The track features Madlib sampling two older songs. The intro uses "Sleeping in a Jar", a Frank Zappa-produced song that was used in an old TV ad, and the track also samples Lew Howard and the All Stars' "Hula Rock".

What it's about

The song shows off MF DOOM's rhyme-heavy bars and obscure pop culture references. Its subjects range from DOOM awkwardly trying to win over a young girl to poking fun at his own shoe style, with much of it given over to bragging about his lyrics.
