About this song
"Hundred Ropes" was the first song Minor Victories released, coming ahead of their debut album. Its sound pairs soft vocals with an almost aggressive, synth-driven beat.
What it's about
The song is a journey about being emotionally shipwrecked and trying to push through it. Its sea imagery, including words like ocean, current and coral, compares a couple's struggles to those of seafarers, echoing the band's earlier song Out to Sea.
