About this song
Topping the UK charts in June 2013, the song features Sam Smith, who was an up-and-coming artist at the time. It was produced by Naughty Boy and Komi. The song became popular on TikTok in mid-June 2020.
What it's about
The song is about running away from one's problems, with a light, catchy rhythm that hides an underlying story of emotional abuse. Its music video tells a darker tale based on an old Bolivian legend about an abused deaf boy who escapes with mismatched friends and a dog.
