About this song
The song was released at the peak of mainstream success for the Houston rap scene. Paul Wall, who runs a custom grill shop in Houston, Texas, along with TV Johnny, is considered to have helped popularize the song's grill trend. In 2012, Olympic gold medal swimmer Ryan Lochte wore a custom grill on the international stage, bringing the fashion back into pop culture. Nelly's flow and some of his lyrics on the song are taken from "Kanday" by LL Cool J.
