About this song
"Slow Hands" is the second single from Niall Horan's solo debut album, and it moves away from the acoustic sound of his earlier single "This Town." Horan said in an interview with SiriusXM that he wrote it as a homage to the classic rock of the '70s and '80s that he grew up listening to. It was one of the last songs written for the album, and it was produced by Julian Bunetta, a longtime friend of Horan's and a co-songwriter and producer for One Direction. The song has been certified Gold in the UK and 3x Platinum in the US and Ireland.
What it's about
The song follows a man who is trying to get taken home by a forward dance partner after a night out. It shows a looser, sexier side of Horan's music.
