About this song
"Am I Wrong" was first released as a digital single in 2013, when the duo was still called Envy. After its initial success, Nico & Vinz signed with Warner Bros. and changed their name to avoid confusion with another group. The music video was filmed in Botswana and at Victoria Falls between Zimbabwe and Zambia, where the pair are separated for most of the video, each carrying a television screen while searching for a signal.
What it's about
The song was written as a response to a dinner conversation in which Vinz's childhood friends kept asking what he would do if his music career didn't work out. It reflects on that question about pursuing music despite doubts.
