About this song
"KEEP UP" copies the style of Odetari's older glitch-style EDM songs, especially "YOU'RE TOO SLOW", and it quickly drew a lot of attention on social media. The song came out of a SoundCloud vote in which fans chose between it and "FROSTBITE" for his next single. Odetari later said he had originally made it for something special, but he released it together with "FROSTBITE" as a two-song single, with promotion focused mainly on "KEEP UP".
What it's about
The lyrics and theme of the song were a huge inspiration for the video game character Sonic the Hedgehog.
