About this song
Released in December 2003, the song was the first single from Petey Pablo's second album, Still Writing In My Diary: 2nd Entry. Lil Jon produced it, but the beat was originally meant for Usher's 2004 hit "Yeah" and was given to Pablo by Jive without Jon's knowledge. After Pablo played the track for him, Lil Jon made a new instrumental for "Yeah!" and Jive chose "Freek-A-Leek" as the single.
