About this song
Rich The Kid teased the track on Twitter in January 2018 and premiered it on January 20, 2018, releasing it a day ahead of its planned date via Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show. The phrase "plug walk" had earlier been popularized by Black Kray in 2014 with a single of the same name. The music video came out in March 2018 and was directed by Daps; it draws on a scene from the pilot of Breaking Bad, which Rich said he admired, comparing himself to Walter White.
What it's about
The song uses space imagery, with astronauts' spacewalks and references to space coupes and spaceships, to suggest an out-of-this-world feel. The space theme runs through both the title and the track's repeated lines.
