About this song
Losin Control was released on November 9, 2015, as Russ' 49th single of that year. It is considered his most popular R&B performance, showing he is more than a rapper and producer. The official music video followed on YouTube on February 1, 2016, directed by Edgar Esteves and featuring Russ along with beauty vlogger Taylor Layne.
What it's about
Russ wrote the song as an apology to his first girlfriend, telling of how he neglected her in the first verse. In the second verse, her new partner's intentions are shown to be very different from his, yet she still struggles with conflict over her past with Russ.
