About this song
The song was put together just after Sam Hunt got engaged to Hannah Lee Fowler in Israel. Hunt said he wanted it to be lighthearted after taking songwriting too seriously, and it became his most successful song to date. In June 2017 it broke a 55-year-old record held by Leroy Van Dyke's "Walk On By" after spending 20 weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, and it peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100.
What it's about
The song is an uplifting ode to Hunt's fiancée, Hannah Lee Fowler, who has been his on-and-off girlfriend since 2008.
