About this song
Spit It Out was the first song Slipknot wrote with Corey Taylor, and it became one of the band's best known tracks largely because of their live crowd interaction. It features Taylor rapping, which sets it apart from most of the band's other songs. The song appeared on Antennas from Hell and 9.0: Live, and on every video release by the band.
What it's about
The song is said to have been written in response to a rivalry between two Central Iowa radio stations, KAZR and KKDM, after Slipknot became allied with KKDM. In the aftermath, the band was removed from a concert in Chicago supporting Anthrax.
