About this song
"Your Dog" is the first single released from Soccer Mommy's 2018 album Clean. Its music video was released the same day as the song.
What it's about
The song is about the singer finally admitting that she was being used in an emotionally abusive relationship, and the anger and relief that come with that realization. The video shows singer Sophie Allison dancing, drawing on her partner's corpse and rubbing his blood on her face, before cuddling longingly with his body; her partner is played by her boyfriend, band guitarist Julian Powell.
