About this song
The song became the band's first hit, topping the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart for four consecutive weeks and the Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart for eight weeks. It also reached No. 1 on Canada's Singles Chart, though no commercial single was released in the US, so it did not chart on the Billboard Hot 100 at the time. It stood apart from the rest of the album Floored as the only reggae fusion track, and it helped the album sell extremely well and earn double platinum certification. VH1 ranked it at number 52 on its list of the 100 Greatest Songs of the '90s.
