About this song

Tech N9ne and Eminem had long been expected to work together, as fans wanted them to collaborate after both appeared on the 1999 song "The Anthem." Tech N9ne and Eminem described the song to Sway as a "puzzle" and a tribute to Richie Havens's "Freedom." Eminem asked for a favor in exchange for his verse instead of money: Tech N9ne would deliver a verse on a Shady Records project, which he did.
