About this song
The track was produced by Scott Storch, and Fat Joe has said he made the beat with him. Fat Joe wanted a slightly Arabian sound, and the two flipped a beat that had started out with a West Coast feel. The hook was inspired by a Jamaican dance craze of the time, and Fat Joe has said that Remy Ma pushed her way onto the song for a verse. The single topped the Billboard Hot 100 and earned gold status.
What it's about
The song is a dance-driven party track built around the idea of leaning back, a move tied to the Rockaway dance that Fat Joe describes in the hook.
