Gives You Hell

About this song

"Gives You Hell" is the lead single and fourth track on the All-American Rejects' third album, When the World Comes Down. It is the band's most successful chart hit to date, and Billboard named it the Most Played Song of the Year at the end of 2009.

What it's about

Lead singer Tyson Ritter says the song is about a person who makes your life difficult and will never realize the song is about them, such as a boss, a teacher or even a parent. It is a tongue-in-cheek way of giving that person the finger.
