About this song
The band originally wanted "Angel In Blue" to be the album's first single, but the record company suggested "Centerfold" go first instead. It is the band's only No. 1 song, spending 6 weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100 in early 1982. It also topped the charts in Canada and Belgium and reached the top 5 in several other countries overseas, and it was later remixed by Captain Jack for the 2006 release of DanceDanceRevolution SuperNOVA.
What it's about
The song tells of a man whose high school heartthrob ends up as the centerfold of an adult magazine.
