About this song
Another Voidz track, "All Wordz Are Made Up" from the album Virtue, refers back to this song. That track explores a similar theme of life's pointlessness in a slightly brighter tone.
What it's about
The narrator, voiced by Julian Casablancas, feels trapped and consumed by the faults of the world and decides to end his life. He describes his despair as an ocean made only of his own tears, in which he is drowning with no place to go and no hope of rescue.
