About this song
"Unemployed" is the fifth weekly single Tierra Whack released after "Only Child" in February 2019, part of a series labelled #whackhistorymonth, and it was announced on Instagram. Its cover art shows a potato on a couch, a nod to the idea of a couch potato. The official music video came out on YouTube on April 10, 2019, after a preview on Cartoon Network during an episode of Samurai Jack. The video is reminiscent of the strange, sometimes nightmarish clips of the Whack World project and sees Tierra playing a cook to two giant, living potatoes.
What it's about
The track is generally confrontational and self-affirming toward people Tierra may see as her enemies.
