About this song
The song's title is a reference to Paul Simon's 1975 classic "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover." It is a pop rock track that uses electric guitars, a mariachi-influenced brass section and acoustic guitar.
What it's about
The lyrics are a tongue-in-cheek story in which the singer, to save face, claims his girlfriend died in a variety of outlandish ways rather than admit she dumped him.
