Foreword

About this song

"Foreword" serves as the intro to Tyler, The Creator's fourth studio album, Flower Boy. It is meant to set the stage for the album that follows.

What it's about

The song explores Tyler's motivation and, toward the end, his lack of it, and he wonders whether anyone would care if he drowned. It sets up the album as an exploration of his inner self.
