About this song
"Renegades" is the second single from X Ambassadors' debut album VHS. The song was made for a commercial tie-in with the 2015 Jeep Renegade. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' Chief Marketing Officer Olivier Francois approached Interscope Records for a song from an emerging band that would appeal to millennials, and X Ambassadors and producer Alex da Kid, who were already working on a similar concept, returned a few days later with the finished track.
